Your furniture, clothes and possessions are all packed up in the truck. The kids are ready to go and you are thinking about the decorations in the new apartment. You take a final walk through of the completely empty house and start to notice the scuffs on the hardwood floor, the ring around the stove, and the layer of dust across the windowsills. You start to panic. You need that deposit back and now you are not so sure you are going to get it. Take a deep breath, and call us!
Performing a deep clean before moving out of a home or an apartment is beneficial to both you and the new tenants. It can help ensure you get your security deposit back and it is common courtesy to leave a rented space as clean as you found it.
We have a detailed “Move Out” checklist that covers the most common reasons for a tenant not getting their security deposit back such as excessive buildup around stove burners, excessive mold in bathrooms or holes in walls. We will work with the tenant to ensure all cleaning related issues are resolved before we leave and will give a checklist for what items should be repaired before keys are returned. Oftentimes tenants forget to replace the vent cover after banging against it while moving out furniture or to replace the drip pans after months of buildup.
We will try to do everything we can to ensure you get your deposit back. Let us mitigate some of the time and stress that comes with moving. Give us a call.
